Twitter recently deleted all of the accounts' previous verified blue ticks, preserving only those that were included in the premium Twitter Blue membership. As a result, a number of famous people, including Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, and others, lost their verified Twitter badge.

Now, Twitter has just begun giving blue ticks to accounts with more over 1 million followers, however. As a result, famous people's accounts now have blue ticks next to their names without having to pay for it, including Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, and Hrithik Roshan.

Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, recently said that this was done to make sure that well-known individuals are verified and can be separated from other accounts. However, a few well-known people have in the meanwhile purchased a paid Twitter Blue membership in exchange for blue ticks. Names like Amitabh Bachchan, Jr. NTR, and SS Rajamouli are among them. Last month, Kangana Ranaut also decided to pay for a membership on Twitter.

This indicates that these famous people paid for their blue tick. Whether their heritage verified blue tick will come back when their membership expires or if they decide to keep paying the charge is currently unknown.

Amitabh Bachchan asked on Twitter on Friday that Elon Musk return his blue tick in the desi fashion and wrote in Hindi, "T 4623 - Hey there, Twitter! Are you hearing me? I just payed now. Restore the blue lotus (check) in front of my name so that people can recognise that it only belongs to Amitabh Bachchan.

Should I bow at your feet now that I've already asked you with my hands folded? Amitabh Bachchan thanked Elon Musk for restoring his Twitter blue tick, and he did the same for him. A Twitter Blue membership costs Rs 900 per month for mobile users and Rs 650 per month or Rs 6800 per year for desktop users. Legacy verified checkmarks were the initial blue ticks on Twitter, given to famous people and institutions to indicate that they were real and true.
