  • A everyday questions megathread has been asked about before, but it is not something that we view as being a sensible solution. Presently, we have Sunday a cycle of RuneScape Gold routine threads including Silly Question. It is just scheduled for appearances that are biweekly, although this appears to fit that criteria. Runescape isn't as fast-paced or as large as any subreddits, so it is possible for users to create new articles to ask questions and receive replies that are sincere without flooding or overpowering our subreddit. Unlike some subreddits, it's possible to browse here because submission frequency is comparatively lower.

Creating a daily megathread can give the impression that consumers are not allowed to create posts to ask questions about Runescape, which is not a view that we support or promote. Regrettably, post filtering is not practical on Reddit for routine post viewing, therefore it may seem overwhelming for some users to see every post in a subreddit flowing via a feed.

(Article flairs do marginally help with this.) This variety induces while others reach sexy some articles to be overlooked, since they are seldom highly upvoted, and a majority of question posts do not reach / sexy here. One side of not using a megathread is this enables these articles to have the opportunity to be searched for when somebody has a question in the future. Searching by title, and Looking for remarks on Reddit is more difficult may yield results which deters someone. Not to mention, a sizeable portion of questions may be answered on the RuneScape Wiki, which is frequently referred to in the remarks.

The daily quantity of question articles here does not appear to represent an overwhelming quantity that would justify a daily collection of recurring stickies. Maybe we could increase the frequency of Silly Question Sunday from biweekly? This sparks the question of, is the role of wanting a megathread to assist or is it to hide these questions from players that do not want to view them's perspective?

Agreed. I also have some suggestions to the sub moderators: create a bot that answers to some ribbon using"OSRS" or"oldschool runescape" on the title with a link into the 2007 Runescape sub, so they are now able to know that there's 2 RuneScape subs, there is a great deal of clueless people who post here believing that is actually the OSRS sub only to find mass downvoted. Also please create a bot that answers to some"is this real?","Only got this email" fake email/phishing effort thread, that provides advice on how to prevent yourself to fall to malicious links; they should also forward the bogus email to Buy RuneScape 2007 Gold jaghex with the email header info in order that it gets noticed and taken action against.
