All that will change as we'll encourage you to learn the strengths and weaknesses of each monster (all shown very clearly on the combat side panel, where your stab/slash/crush/special attack buttons used to be) and to learn the best combat method and gear to use against them.
We are removing Combat XP from creatures 30 or more levels lower than us in order to motivate people to fight them. Drops and Slayer XP remain the same. The entire set of NPCs will be rebalanced taking this into consideration in the same way as I've already mentioned.
We don't yet have top-end training creatures, so players who have high Combat levels will have their 30 levels rise to 50. At the very least until we have larger training dungeons. It's still possible to train on creatures that are less powerful... less
