The first lady's lawyer has demanded that Joe Biden's son retract claims he made about how she met her husband.

The White House says "there are sanctions and many other measures” the US president can use, ahead of Friday's summit in Alaska.

A team of astronomers from the University of Missouri, using the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), has spotted 300 unusually bright objects in the distant universe, possible early galaxies that may upend current theories of how galaxies formed after the Big Bang.

The astronomical event was captured on camera at North York Moors National Park on 13 August.
